This website is about a novel technology for producing uniform high quality inorganic coatings on polymer substrates. These thin films are deposited in a roll-to-roll process using plasma under atmospheric circumstances.
Green atmospheric glow plasma technology has unsurpassed surface treatment capabilities. Using pre-defined gas atmospheres and high power densities, the process allows efficient surface treatment and a high degree of surface modification
Thin films can be applied in PV-cells and flexible electronics as encapsulation layers, preventing moisture penetration to increase the lifespan of the products. The production cost is significantly decreased by using deposition processes based on atmospheric pressure plasma. With Atmospheric Pressure – Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapour Deposition (AP-PECVD) it is not needed to have vacuum equipment.
